The passive infrared monitor uses infrared detection technology to assist in reducing the risk of falls in the care home environment. When the infrared beam is broken an alert is triggered, notifying the carer that there is movement. The Infrared Monitor is especially useful when the use of sensor pads is not possible or something more hidden is needed. The monitor can be mounted on a door or by the bedside and comes with a swivel bracket for mounting and enabling the positioning of the monitor to be adjusted. Battery or mains power supply and an extension mounting bed bracket are available to purchase separately.
